Wilderness Hunts

 

HUNT—ELK—MULE DEER—BIGHORN SHEEP—COYOTES—SMALL GAME

 

Pack in on horses to GUIDED or DROP CAMPS

in the LaGarita WILDERNESS.

We prefer small groups that we can concentrate

on and work with for maximum success. We hunt

in unit 67, which is a draw area with limited hunters

in the field.

GREAT HUNTING, no hunter pressure, no ATV's

or road hunters. Beautiful pristine Wilderness

hunting. Buy a fishing license and catch Cutthroat

and Brook trout too.

GUIDED CAMPS are comfortable. We do the

cooking and take care of the camp and horses.

You hunt. We use the horses to get you to the

game. All you need is your weapon of choice,

personal gear, clothing and a sleeping bag.

 

DROP CAMPS are either our gear set up when you get there, or we take you and your gear in to a great location. If we provide the camp, there will be tents, cots, stove, axe, shovel, lanterns, cooking utensils and dishes. All drop camps are checked during your hunt. In most cases "pack out" of your game is included in your hunt costs. Horses are not left in drop camps.
