This is a great location and opportunity. 20 miles from the pavement the last 10 miles on National Forest Service roads. Hunt unit 67 using 4WD roads or afoot in a roadless part of the Gunnison National Forest. Walk into and hunt the LaGarita Wilderness. The area you hunt from this camp is geographically isolated from the rest of unit 67, limiting the competition.
Camp is near the line between unit 67 & 68 so in some seasons you can buy an over the counter license good in 68 if you don’t draw your unit 67 license. Unit 68 also has better opportunities in the 2nd choice draw to back up your 67 1st choice application.
This is a comfortable well equipped camp. We check camp during the hunt and pack your success out if needed. Bring your food, rifle, clothes, personals and sleeping bag. Hunt and enjoy, we do the set up and tear down.
